PSR-500 to Pro-197 clone

Should know what to do but having problems,Is the source radio my already programmed PSR-500 and the target radio is my new out of the box Pro-197 done what they say but no luck or do I press clone send from the 197 to recieve from the 500 any help would be ideal

The source radio is your already programmed PSR-500.
The target radio is the new out of the box Pro-197.

Turn both scanners on.
Hook up the patch cable between the two radios.
Go into the PSR-500's GLOBAL menu and select the clone option, then SOURCE.

The 500 should clone right into the 197.

I did it that way from a 500 to a PRO-106 earlier this week.

If that doesn't work, download one of the three-free trial software packages for your radio (I recommend PSREdit-500), and save the contents of your programmed radio, then send it to your new un-programmed radio.

You'll end up buying the software when you find out how nice it is!

Went and bought a new stereo patch cord takes about 30 seconds to clone.Thanks for the advise
