Psr-500

I went to turn my PSR-500 on this morning and there was nothing. I can here some static noise coming from the speaker but that is it. My keypad looks like it is frozen.
anybody else and that problem before

Have you tried resetting the scanner? If worse comes to worse, and your unit is under warranty, send it back to GRE for repair.
