PSR 700 Rubberized Finish

Hi all. I bought myself the 700 used on ebay for $100. I am very happy with the radio's functionality, but hate the finish. It is not quite rubberized, but rather tacky like an adhesive. It's rubbing off like an adhesive. The finish is clearly defective. Unfortunately, GRE offers no support. Anybody have any idea where I could get a housing? I thought about just manually rubbing off the remainder of the finish. I will probably buy a case to cover it, but Scannermaster wants $33 for a nylon one shipped or $43 for a leather one. Many complain they don't fit... though scannermaster says they do. I dont know. I suppose I could order and see. I'd rather just order a new housing if somebody has one. I have a 700 that is doing the same thing, I just figured the finish will wear off eventually. I help by rubbing some off every once in a while. lol
