Go to your Trunked Radio system tab, select your scan list, make sure the type is selected to P-25,it should show you the site down below on the screen, press it and you should have options of site, talkgroups, radio ID's.

That sounds about right for trunking systems but that about conventional? There doesn't appear to be any location in the software to add text to conventional Radio IDs. Are you saying to put the conventional radio IDs in with the trunk system radio id's and just to set the scan list to where ever your conventional p25 channels are?

Thanks for clearing this up,
Bob

The PSR-800 won't map RadioIDs received on a conventional P25 frequency to alpha tags. It will only show you the numeric RadioID.

Radio id-s

With the line 5 set to show radio id-s take the id number from there and add it to the colum in the ezscan software listed as radio id details. Then you can name it and it will show along with the talk groupe.

That's for trunked radio systems. As stated above, there is no way to do that with P25 conventional RID's.

Would be nice if GRE added that feature in a firmware upgrade. Im from Pittsburgh, PA & theres not much P25. except Westmoreland County's Trunked System, Pittsburgh School Police, & Columbia Gas but i would like to have RIDs as much as possible. So far I have 1,645 Radio ID's for Westmoreland & Fayette Counties. lol
