Greetings and Happy Holidays
I just got an early Christmas present, PSR-800 (thanks Santa wife), but I have to tell you, the software EZ SCAN is a bit of a problem. I'm trying to update the firmware and DSP through EZ SCAN and I get an error

saying the update is unable to get an available update version of the DSP firmware from the Internet. please check your internet connection and try again

I try again and still get the above error. I have an internet connection, I do not see anywhere in the EZ SCAN software to enter any internet connection information. I try to update the RR database, but get the same error.

Can someone tell me how to update this not so intuitive software? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like something in the OS is causing a problem but that's just a guess...

I assume your Internet connection is working for browsing etc since you made this post (from the same PC)?

Did you encounter any problems installing or starting up EZ Scan?

Have you been able to check/download/install the most recent version of EZ Scan since installing the software?

Have you ever successfully done any updates since getting the radio/software?

What type of internet connection do you have?

What OS are you using (WinXP, Win7, etc.)?

One thing to check - although I don't know how this would have happened -- assuming you don't need it nor have configured it, check the proxy settings in EZ Scan (MENU item Updates -> Configure Proxy Server) and make sure it not enabled.

Beyond that, you might want to reboot your PC and try again.

I think You have to download the software yourself, not EZScan, I might be wrong, but here is the link to download it. GRE PSR-800 P25 Phase 2 Public Beta Upgrade - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite

Firewall issue? Make sure your firewall is allowing EZScan to make outbound connections.
