municipality of great state of insanity
i just bought a used PSR-800 with the Whistler upgrade done on it, and seem to remember somewhere on here it being said that, at this point, it could be considered a WS1080. All fine by me, but I can't seem to locate the EZSCAN software on the SD card, and so in the process of downloading the PSR-800 software online, I realized I am unsure which software to use (PSR-800 or WS1080), nor can i find documentation (ie:updated manual) on specifics relating to the DMR capabilities/operational changes inherent with the new firmware. i think i have checked all the right places but must be missing something here.

Aside from a PRO668, I am a Whistler/GRE n00b, and am gun-shy on winging things here, as I bricked a newly purchased WS1040 "winging-it" just days prior to getting the PSR-800 and have little confidence at this point.

Any help would be appreciated.

The upgrade makes it a full-fledged WS1080.
So use the WS1080 sofftware
I did mine and am about ready to send in another one.

Thanks for the post, still waiting to receive my GSR800 back from whistler and will use that software instead of the ezscan that I've had for a long time.
