PSR 800 Low Battery

I have a question about the low battery alert setting in the EZSCAN software. It has a range of 0-60, but I never get an alert when my batteries are getting low. I have set it to 5 and up to 60. The scanner simply shuts off. What is the setting used by most of you?

My old Pro-97 would let me know a good bit in advance when they were going to discharge.
