Does anyone here have a bin file of the factory firmware for a GRE Psr-800 and also for a Radio Shack Pro-18.
If yes can you please pm to me.

Whistler announced that they are continuing the legacy upgrades. We are waiting for the option to appear on their website. That will update both scanners to a WS1080 which adds DMR. The PRO-18 is also updated to P25 Phase 2. You will be able to use the WS1080 EZ-Scan software for updating and programming the scanner.

I agree, having done the Whistler legacy upgrade myself, it adds years of service without risk, to these fully capable scanners. If and when you decide to sell the radio, the potential of bricking said radio will make it almost useless (plus add dollars extra to upgrade to the buyer, if sold and attempted to upgrade without any notice not to). It costs tens of dollars more plus the upgrade (if Whistler continues to upgrade the illegal upgrade, remember they do not have to). Value added for you for it's viability, and future owners too, plus plus.

I don't see any concrete information on Legacy updates continuing.

I'd take the below as hard packed sand as opposed to concrete, but it's something at least...

Not sure who you talked to, the Legacy Upgrade will be offered to customers beginning May 2025. I recommend you check the Whistlergroup.com website in May for details.

To the OP are both scanners with the unofficial FW and now you trying to go back to factory? You did not explain why you need both OEM bins.

BTW: I do not have the factory bins for neither one.

Nothing to do with unofficial FW I am just looking for factory FW in the event I need to re-load.
