psr 800 radio id question

i need help on this item: if i am thinking right i put the radio id in the scanner with an alpha tag and each time the person talks it will come up with there name not the radio id correct.

example: 911121= officer smith so each time this officer keys up it will show his name instead of radio id



please help me out on this i understand this is only for trunked systems.

Yep. Add it as a Radio ID, alpha tag it, and set it to the correct scanlist and it will display the alpha tag.

There are also additional line 5 options under the advanced features tab > advanced display options > trunked systems channel.
