Bit of a long shot I'm sure but is there anyone out there that has a copy of the PSR-800 U1.8 CPU Firmware? Not even sure that exists by itself. I have a zip archive that contains the "Beta" U1.7 firmware package but I had 1.8 on both my PSR-800's. I am having an issue with Phase II and I think it may have been caused after I upgraded to the U2.0 firmware through EZ-Scan. I'm not 100% positive of that but I'd at least like to try U1.8 again to see if the problem goes away if that's even possbile. I downgraded to the U1.7 version that I had and that didn't make a difference.

The firmware and DSP update are done through the EZ Scan software. It's still available at GRE America Inc. in the GRE PSR-800 section. After installation, a software update has to be performed that goes beyond the downloaded version. Then the setup is ready to connect to the scanner and update it. It is important to follow the scanner update instructions exactly, e.g. when to switch the unit on, off, etc.

I'm concerned that if I send in my gre psr-800 will they take care not to damage or scratch it? I ask cause my scanner is in 100 percent perfect condition as I bought it when i was a gre dealer and I want it to stay in perfect condition.

I sent in two radios, one a RS and the other a GRE. Both came back better units than before the upgrade, and updates from Whistler install much more reliably than they ever did from RS or GRE.

I remember around 2 weeks. Been working just fine. I needed to get it upgraded to Phase II.
PSR-800 Had phase 2 from the day it was built. Legacy upgrade adds DMR and dozens of firmware fixes and improvements. Plus you get to use the still update ezscan for the ws1080 with all its improvement and you get any future improvements to firmware and ezscan.

No it did not.
GRE released a Beta version firmware upgrade for Phase II shortly before they closed up. Some late models may have shipped with that

If yours did, you bought it used or it was a returned product that someone else updated with the experimental beta firmware before they returned it. Read the info at the link Wackyracer posted.

The 800 did not come with any form of Phase 2 support from the factory as it was still a beta release afaik.
