PSR-800 w/ Apple earbuds

Hi gang,

Using the 800 with Apple earbuds and hearing audio through both the buds and the main speaker. Tried varying the depth of plug into jack with same results each time. Anyone else experiencing this?

Search in GRE forum yielded no specific threads on this topic.

Tried checking the Settings menu in the radio for an audio out option with no success.

Could this be due to presence of a third lead on the actual 1/8" plug?

Just tried Apple headphones with 2 rings on plug. It worked

Tried 2 different headphones with 3 rings. One worked, one didn't. The one that worked had a longer plug.

Both ways that worked disabled the radio speaker.

On "Advanced Features" under "IF Audio Output Options", make sure it is set to off or headphone and see if it helps.
