I have been working with this scanner since thanksgiving, and have a problem with the v-folder set-up. I used to own the pro96 which allowed you to erase a state info which you didnt want and rename and reprogram that bank with any info/systems you wanted to configure. This scanner seems to prohibit this so once you erase or delete a folder it remains empty?? I understand scan lists and having the v-folders as storage areas, but how do you manually input sysytems into a blank folder from the units main memory???

It works exactly the same as the Pro96... You don't manually input systems - VFolders are copies of the entire working memory.

OK, you saved your working or main memory and stored it into V-Scanner folder like 00 or whatever folder you want to use. Then you load the V-Scanner folder that you want. The question is, are the scan lists turned on so that there is something to scan? You will get nothing enabled if the scan lists are turned off in that folder.

You don't 'turn on' a vscanner. Think of vscanner as a filing cabinet. You can only have one file out at at time. So load vscanner #7, it writes over EVERYTHING in your scanner memory with the contents of #7. If you want to load another vscanner, it will again erase everything in your main memory and replace with the new vscanner.

Read the manual, and read it again if needed. To repeat - it works EXACTLY the same as the Pro96 vscanner.

Read the small white booklet that came with your GRE scanner"Users Guide", its all about implementing V-Folders....Press-FUNC PGM-STOR (Work Mem) in "VF="00", PRESS-YES-(name folder)-OK, Press "CANCL" to return to VS MENU, then PRESS-LOAD-(choose folder) VFXX, then press scan and make sure the SLists in that folder are active.....This way you saved your "original "Work Memory" to VF"00"....Hope this helps....

The only way you lost V-folder 16 with the keyboard is if you stored working memory over it.

Edit: Guess you could have used the F3 (Erase) option.

Press PGM FUNC PGM F1 (LOAD). Then press down repeadly to 16:OH South then F3 (LOAD) then F1 (YES). Wait for loading to finish and press SCAN. The scanner will reboot and start scanning.

Run the Demo,
Click Start
Click Send to PC/IF
Point to the desired v folder

Or if using Win500 run it
Click File and select Open
Select PC/IF Bin Files in File type pulldown
Point to the desired v-folder

If running PSREdit run it
Click Files and select Open
Point to desired v-folder.
