I use a PSR600 as the data radio on my Pro96Com setup using Ver. 1.10.3 Build 182. I have been running it for a few months with little difficulty on my iMac with Parallels and Win7-64 and it works great.

Recently however every couple of days I come home to find that the radio is still on, I can hear the data signal when I turn up the volume but the radio display of the P25 data particulars are gone. In addition (and most importantly) Pro96Com is not decoding data.

I turn off the radio and turn it back on and all is well with the world again until it stops decoding again the next day or a couple days later.

I have had this occur now and again with other radios in the past including Pro2096's and Pro96's but this seems to be happening on a more regular basis.

Any ideas?

Mine does the same thing... I've traced it down to either lack of quality signal for a duration of time or too much signal over a period of time. The problem with GRE/Radio Shack scanners is that they overload VERY easily, despite the fact they are triple conversion receivers... Another thing I've noticed, if someone with a Nextel is in the area, the PSR-500/600 radios simple go nuts. My characters on the display have shown all sorts of crazy stuff when someone with a Nextel is near... I can't wait for all this rebanding to be completed and for all of the iDEN crap to be gone for good... Nextel has been a real P.I.A. when it comes to 800 scanners...

Also, you might want to consider the later version of Pro96Com, current version is 1.10.5 Build 187
