I recently got a psr800 and its having a problem following my countys trunking system. It takes an awfull long time to pick up the control frequencies and begin outputting the active talkgroups. Its an edacs standard system and I've broken down the location based scanlists into smaller ones for my countys talk, tac, and dispatch channels. Once it picks up and starts following it does fine until it seems to lose it again and I have to wait again a while before it starts following it again.

I'm having a similar issue. It won't pick up my county's EDACS system at all. My BCT8 picks everything up fine. Were you able to resolve your issue? I'm ready to return this radio after only 2 days of messing with it.

Is this a trunked system with multiple sites?
Because the stupid radio wants to treat every trunked system it loads by default as a multi-site system you are stuck with the scanner cycling through the different sites causing huge delays in getting some desired talkgroups to come active unless you separate out the sites.
I've found if you separate each site into its own system in separate scanlists you have much firmer control over what you are trying to listen to. Then you can turn off and on scanlists that in turn will only give you traffic on the specific sites without having to cycle through the others and miss everything you are trying to hear.

Which EDACS system are you having this problem with?
