I've been looking at the evaluation version of PSREdit for the PSR-500. I monitor an EDACS system that uses 4 different towers. All 4 towers have different frequencies. I programmed all 4 using PSREdit and named them based on the location of each tower.
Now, all talkgroups appear on all 4 systems. The PD user in the field has to manually select which tower he has a better signal on. So I started programming talkgroups using PSRedit and assigned them to Scanlist 1.
If I select Trunking System Name - Tower 1 North, it shows all the talkgroups. When I select Tower 2 - South, none of the talkgroups appear in the software. I'm confused. How does the scanner know which system to scan when scanning the particular talkgroups?
With my Uniden for example, I program one system with multiple sites. Each site has a "quick key" to enable/disable that system. It then has a tag for talkgroups where I program it once and then a "quick key" to enable/disable them across all or some of the systems.
