I was up at Dore Lake last week and was wondering how the systems towers communicated and are linked?
I figure the southern sites are fibre but up north that's not possible. Radio link maybe? Satellite?

Microwave is used if I recall when I first started seeing this being built out in 2018, for sure fibre links many

They're all linked by microwave - you can see the directional antennas on the towers aiming at their neighbors.

Also I believe they are linked by via Sasktel fibre according to the wiki

If they're like other systems I have seen, any (and/or all) of the above is definitely possible. I have seen sites with multiple backhauls over different transport types specifically to insure against outages.

I've even heard rumors that some sites use an LTE backhaul in certain situations, but I don't believe it's favored as a first choice.

I had a closer look and saw the dish. Would that be tower to tower until the signal got to where it was going or is it long distance?
