Is the Police there encrypted since most of the transmissons I pick up on my Pro 96 sound encrypted.

Point Pleasant Beach seems to be digital, not sure if it's encrypted or not...

ppbpd encrypts all of their traffic 100 % of the time - i believe.

Seems that way to me too. They have been doing that for at least a couple months. Before that it was maybe 85% in the clear.
Somebody missed the earlier thread that ended up in heated dispute. (;->) They've been mostly but not all units encrypted for eeehhh... about a year now. Oddly enough over the 4 July weekend all units on both channels were clear.

Huh? They are encrypted 100% but I am not sure. Why say anything unless you are 100%?

He didn't say he wasn't sure. He said "I believe". More than likely everything he hears is encrypted. FuelForFire said the same thng. And I agree with both. When I monitor them, everything is encrypted, but that's not to say that I, or we, may miss something that's not.
