The Public Safety Alerts Incident Notification System is for Scanning Enthusiasts, Firebuffs, EMS Workers, Traffic Road Crews, News Media Outlets, all over the United States and Canada. PSA sends Incident Alert Notifications to your E-mail account, Cell Phone, Blackberry, Pager, and any other wireless device.The idea of PSA was started by a high school student named Andrew from New York State who was a volunteer firefighter for close to four years and had experience with a lot of other incident notification groups. He also had a personal experience during September 11, 2001 with the death of a family member who was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11 that crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Andrew realized the need for simplified methods of communication between First Responders, Public Safety agencies, Media Outlets and the general public. The idea behind this project with the intention of providing real-time alerts of major incidents to the people who work and live in the United States and surrounding areas. The low subscription rates to receive alerts is one thing that stands out about Public Safety Alerts.
