Public Safety Automatic Searching.

I already have an analog BC898T that scans and searches everything but digital public safety .All local public safety frequencies are on Motorola Type two Smartzone.Now,I want to purchase a digital scanner just for scanning 800Mhz frequencies .Will one with the Close Call feature do this without programming it ?How about other scanner features for searching ? Any scanner recommendations ?
Any comments regarding how this feature will effect everything after rebanding will be appreciated.They are suppose to all go down 15Mhz after rebanding.

Those preprogamed searches are for those that may think that programming your won ranges is too hard. It just searches what is programmed so you are better off just programming your own way on search My UNIDEN 250's have 10 search ranges in addition to the preprogrammed.

Searching 800Mhz Band

Thanks for the comments . Regarding the searches ,do the search ranges search say 800 Mhz band without specific frequencies being programmed ? Again thanks !
