I've been told from a number of sources within the city government that Pueblo is at least 2 years from moving to DTRS. Although this applies to the city, I'm guessing it also applies to the county, but I can't confirm that.
For the city, the timetable is partially based on funding for new radios, and a new police station that should be completed within the next 2 years. The PD handles dispatching for the PD and FD. It obviously doesn't make sense to build a new comm center for DTRS and then do it all over again in the new building. Also, at $3500 for Moto XTS3500's (or whatever is the current model) its going to cost quite a bit to purchase a few hundred radios.
So, for the time being, things will be status quo: City fire on UHF, and city PD, county FD's and SO on VHF.
