After last round of bad weather in Mar, I decided to no longer rely on the new to Ark talking head TV news folks and get a scanner and listen for myself. A print reporter friend suggested I join r-reference. Any suggestions? I am also an ER doc, so MEMS, and police are of interest as well as weather.

Gotta mention 146.940 Mhz. This is the CAREN SKYWARN NET. Also, the obvious NOAA Weather Radio from NWS LZK on 162.550 Mhz covers 50 miles around Little Rock.
