No, but I recommend getting a program like Win500 from Starrsoft.com to manage the frequencies.

Always a good idea to thoroughly read and understand the manual. All your questions are answered in it. Software is good, but learn the radio first. I recommend as many do, Win500.

We will be using software to program, I would like to get a head start on things if the radio needs a firmware update to hear re-banded systems, rather than searching on Christmas morning.

Any one know what if any firmware file is needed and the name of the file so I can find and download it now?
