Puurdue University's Physical Facilites now have talk groups on the 800 MHz Tippecanoe County Public Safety TRS. They will join the Purdue Police and Fire departments that have already been on the system for a few years. The lowest TGID I have heard is 40336 and the highest is 41104. That means there are at least 25 new TGs that need to be identified. Hopefully I can post a list of TGs soon for those that wish to listen or lock them out if monitoring the system in search mode. Of course, if anyone else can identify the TGs, please by all means, do so.

Still no digital I take it. I also read where they were all ready to be rebanded as a pilot program, but I see that stalled as well.

You Are Correct Sir:

Still no digital yet. Been hearing rumors for over 5 years now that Tippecanoe County is going digital but I don't think it's happening anytime soon. I believe part of the reason for the delay is that there were a bunch of the wrong type of radios (non-digital capable) bought at a point in the recent past by an agency.

I haven't heard anything about the rebanding pilot other than what has previously been in the news.

They may be waiting to see how the Indy rebanding goes. That system should be completed by December..... we'll see though.

They should have put these groups onto system 2 instead of here - been on search this afternoon and they sure hog up a lot of air time LOL.

Ive heard them doing several "test" of new talkgroups today ...

do you guys have a list of what TG's you're hearing? If I can get my antenna pointed in the right direction I'll try and help you listen and Identify.

Here are some of the newer ones trunker has recorded for me ... not sure they are all related to Purdue yet.

40336
40368
40400
40528
40592
40624
40752
40784
40816
40848
40880
40944
40976
41008
41040
41072

Most seemed to have dealt with Physical Facilities Services as pointed out above. Ive been trying to use http://www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/ and employee data to tie down who I am hearing and which dept they are working for ... I think I have a few but Im not 100% certain yet.

I will be trying to get some talk group information later this week or early into the next from a source that I have at the university. I've already asked and they agreed to help but they have been very busy latey. I 'm waiting a bit until things get settled a bit to ask again.

I do know that, all of the talkgroups I have heard in the range listed above are Purdue talk groups.

WOW - nice job bacon - how did you get all those specifics? Did you call over to purdue facilities or what?

I asked someone with a radio that came into my office area (to do repairs) to key up all the unknown talk groups for me. I already had templates of the radios' programming and I just needed to know what ID belonged to what talk group.
