Beginning of pursuit is on the Allen County feed beginning 4 minutes and 30 second into the 11:50 PM archive. Lima PD began pursuit, OSP Post 2 took over pursuit, and then a Post 6 unit became primary. Post 6 was patched to Post 2 talkgroup so most of the traffic of the primary units will be on this achieve.

Fun for the whole family. At some point after they left Allen County, the female driver contacted Allen County SO and said she wanted to pull over in a public place because she had been previously assaulted by LEO's. It sounded like she was a skillful driver since she managed to avoid multiple deployments of stop sticks.

OSP had to run a patch to allow units from Post 2 and Post 6 to communicate? That's sad. It was somewhat disheartening to hear all of the involved departments/officers talking on their own systems instead of a common channel. Had there been more integrated communication, this thing wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes.

They attempted to put stop sticks out a bunch of times, she kept turning and going different directions. After about the 20 min mark into the pursuit she called Allen Co and wanted to continue onto Elida and surrender there at a gas station. Troopers advised no way she should pull over now. Lima attempted to stop her for a broken tail light and called there units off at the county line. After the chase went thru Wapak and Cridersville, she ask to go to Elida, she turned again to Wapak and stated she would stop at a lighted gas station, which she drove right by. It wont be long till they will all be on MARCS and should be able to go to a common freq. At one point a friend called in and stated that there were guns and drugs in the truck. She turned so many times I have a sheet and a half of paper with the various road and street names on it and actually sent 4 pages over Ohio Breaking News. She or her male counterpart knew if they stayed on the same road very long that they would spike her. It will be interesting to see how many charges get racked up in the whole deal. I started listening while they were on St. Johns in Lima by the time I got out of bed and the computer fired up they were well into Auglaize with a train of LEOs on her tail, I forgot about your MARCs feed Mike, Sorry. Anyone wanting to listen to the whole deal its on the feed archives at ScanAmerica.us

The talkgroups are patched by the dispatchers so the units don't have to switch their radios. It makes things alot simpler for the units driving during a pursuit. Normally units will just switch their radios if they want to talk to a different post.

In the next couple of months all these units will be using MARCS for their daily communications and will be able directly communicate with each other.

Quite a history with the LEOs. We had one gun ho deputy in the chase ,when he got stuck and called in there was a roar of laughter in the background.

I heard him call in that he was stuck and knew that there was both swearing and laughing going on immediately after the transmission. :p
