I did, then put it into a spiral bound cover. (I did it at work though... Shhh! Don't tell)
Instead of printing it at home, perhaps take it to a Kinkos or something like that. Likely wouldn't cost a whole heck of a lot and would save your home printer a workout. If you do decide to print it at home, see if your printer will do 2 sided printing and maybe set the Quality level to 'draft' or something similar. Saves on ink, and speeds things up considerably.
I don't think anyone was proposing deleting the pdf after printing, so it's not like you have to decide between them.I prefer the PDF file as you can search things and jump right to all occurrences of your key word.

I just find it darned difficult to cuddle up in bed with a pdf. Unless maybe you're willing to spend hundred$ on an e-book reader.
This is how I do it. By the time I wake up I've learned another 1% of the concepts. Add that up after reading it multiple times and eventually I learn something... read it at night in bed but maybe I was too tired I never understood it.
