If any of you have been wondering about the Law traffic in Putnam Co, they are communicating on a Private Digital P25 and is scrambled too. There is no way to talk or listen to them. So they are out of the listening loop for now.

What a bummer! So much for the Interop that was being pushed toward all agencies. Maybe if we hang in there we might be able to hear them in the distant future.

Their main PD/FIRE/EMS dispatch's should not be encrypted if on the SIRN, only their private talkgroups. Or are you saying the are on a P25 VHF system instead?
No, What I'm saying is that they bought their own Private P25 system so no one can monitor or be able to communicate with them. This is the Law Enforcement only. The Fire and EMS are using their VHF and SIRN.

Unfortunately since its not the SIRN, Putnam county can encrypt what the heck they want.
But in a way can you really blame them?
