Does anyone know(or can find out) what PL or DPL tone is used in Putnam County for the RR listing below?

155.40000 KSS219 BM EMS to Hospital (Alternate)

EDIT: Also - If any hospitals use this freq for base to mobile ops that PL info would also needed if not the same
as Putnam County.

Thanks......fineshot1

No PL for that freq. It is also rarely, if ever used. 155.340 in the primary HEAR channel for PHC, with no pl of course, DTMF code is used from the ambulance to open the receiver at the hospital.

Thank you for that info. I am trying to find out any agencies or users on 155.400 that are using PL 156.7, i dont know for sure but thought it was comming out of one of the NY counties that border NJ. Any info along that line would be greatly appreciated.

Go east, young man.

fine,

You're looking in the wrong direction. 155.400 (156.7) is used by the Harwinton Emergency Medical Services in Litchfield County, Connecticut, under call sign WNMB903.

That callsign does not show up in the fcc db and i looked up in the rr db and its 154.400 - see below:

Frequency License Type Tone Description
154.40000 KCT676 BM 156.7 PL Ambulance Dispatch

Although I suppose its possible distance wise I do not think they are what I am hearing from Ocean County during propagation enhancements.

It's very possible. I've logged Litchfield County, CT on 155.1075 MHz (PL 82.5 Hz) many times.

Joseph11 is right...

Gentlemen,

I stand corrected...my database was wrong. After a very brief FCC search, the correct call sign for Harwinton EMS, on 155.400, is WQBC205.

I am hearing what sounds like a voice ID call sign of "KRE536" but when I look this up or do a wild card search in the FCC DB I get zero. It sounds mostly like EMS activity but sometimes there is also FD activity as well. I must assume that the call sign I think I am hearing is expired for quite some time now due to no FCC DB info.

EDIT: 8/9/06 I also have a recording which sounds alot like a hospital answering ems comms saying " riverside here " and I beleive there is a hospital in yonkers by that name.
Can someone in Westchester County please confirm this on 155.400 PL 156.7 ?

Mystery Solved

SCANdal was correct. I was searching in the wrong direction. What I thought was comming out of NY was actually comming from Newport News, VA.

KRA536 is an old (no longer valid) call sign that was assigned to
Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA. It looks like KRA536 was
replaced in 1999 by WPOX631, which in turn expired in 2004.

155.4000 KRA536 NEWPORT NEWS RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL

A google search by someone unknown to me turned up the above old scanner list in
the Virginia area. Thank You unknown person.

Refer to the RR data base for Dutchess Co. 155.400 is used by Vassar Hospital via DC fire control.

Thanks - But what I found above matches all my criteria and the DC listing does not. The call sign does not match, there is no PL listed so I am guessing like all the counties around they are using carrier squelch(must be 156.7), no base is listed and the hospital name does not match....
