A few min ago heard a Puyallup officer say his Nextel wasn't working well in the area he was in and asked another officer to go to TAC1? Then ID 45168 came up and all I heard was data. I'm assuming Tac1 is encrypted?? I didn't know they could go encrypted on an analog TRS? My other assumption is that they have some way to jump on the Tacoma TRS (which I can't hear anyway, I'm too far away)

Help??

Edit: I just answered my own question. Puyallup is part of the Tacoma TRS. I think??? Ah hell I'll figure it out.

Encryption on analog systems is possible, and used quite a bit on tac channels. It's just not as easy as it would be for digital systems.
