Chittenden County Fire Mutual Aid channel, 154.385 -- does anyone actually get dispatched over this frequency, maybe smaller departments? Or is it purely for interagency coordination?

I've been getting interference from local snowplows and am thinking of disabling this frequency on my scanner, but don't want to if I'd miss out on any dispatches.

Thanks for any insight

Dispatch there stopped with the advent of the 151.3175 repeater, I’d guess eight years or so ago.

It’s still programmed in most radios for mutual aid, although using the VTAC/UTACs are almost exclusively the way that mutual aid is handled these days.

At a large incident anywhere in the county, you’re likely to hear VTAC1 in use for on-scene interagency comms or water supply.

I’ve been at a couple training scenarios running a large tanker shuttle operation on VTAC2 with the primary on-scene remaining on VTAC1.
