• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello All,
I have set up the radio with QC-II in the CPS and have the reset timer at 60 seconds. When a page goes out on the frequency the radio opens and the message is heard. The display reads "Alert with call" and the orange light blinks faster indicating a call was received. The issue I am having is that the only way the radio will go back to a "normal state" is if I push the PTT button, that clears the display and light at the top. The auto-reset at 60 seconds is not doing it automatically. What am I missing guys? I have used Selective call but the page doesn't come through. This department isn't very busy so the channel isn't in a constant state of usage.
However back to the QC-II auto reset without user interaction. Can anyone interject how to resolve this?

I agree with Ramal on your second thread, mine resets OK, our FD sends them on their busy dispatch channel, I'm also on Auto W/O Carrier Override.

any updates to the fix on this as i am having the same issue without a fix at the moment
The solution is to correctly program the radio for this operation. This is not a bug.

The various moto radios out there are all programmed slightly differently, so we would need to know the radio you have and how you currently tried to program it for this operation. There are several other threads with solutions that have been updated recently, have you looked at them?

please.

zoom in to those pictures, and then tell me they are legible.

If you area select, and don't save the image as your full dual monitor desktop wallpaper resolution, you won't have that issue.

Call alert doesn't reset. it is to notify the user someone has called them whenever they get back into the vehicle. Selective Call will unmute the speaker for a voice announcement and then mute again if "and" squelch the proper auto reset timer is used. This is how my 3500e operates.
