Hello,

Using Sentinel and a BCD436.

A bit confused over the QK Tab that shows all the boxes that
comes up when I go to Edit PROFILES.

Have a bunch of FAV.
They all show up in the left hand pane.
Each one has a QK assigned to it.
Just to the FAV. Not to any Systems, Dept’s, Sites, etc.

If I go to “Favorite Lists,”, and “Edit FAVORITE LISTS” icon, I get the chart
that shows all the QK’s assigned to these FAV items.
Fine.

But if I go to “Favorite Lists, and click on the “Edit PROFILES” icon,
it shows under the QK Tab a chart labeled
“Favorites List Quick Key Status” and all the boxes that can be checked.

It shows that I have, only, the first box (00) checked.

Let’s say I have created 10 FAV. (each with a QK)

Do I want to click on all of the first 10 boxes here before downloading to the radio ?
And then in the Scanner select which of these I want to scan ?

I guess I am not certain what this QK chart (with all the boxes) that comes up when I click on FAV and Edit PROFILE

*And, what menu does this chart correspond to in the Scanner ?
Is it where you have to Enable all the QK’s you want to be able to
subsequently select to scan ?

Thanks,
Bob

That sets the initial state of the FQK. Checked, the FQK is enabled immediately upon download to the scanner. Unchecked, the FQK is disabled.

Whether you want a given Favorites List Quick Key to be on or off by default is your choice.

I have some Favorites List Quick Keys On by default and have others that are Off. Those Favorites Lists I do want to scan are On. Those I may want to scan are off and when I choose to scan them I toggle the appropriate FLQK to turn the Favorites List On.

While I know you are asking only about Favorites List Quick Keys and the check boxes, this also applies to System and Department Quick Keys, where you can set them to On or Off by default.
