Vortac is right, the RENIR is built at the level of 60 - 65 % right now, mainly in the main populated areas from west of Montreal to the east of Quebec city along the St-Lawrence river valley. There is nothing west of Rigaud right now or East of La Malbaie. There is 73 tower up in the air on the 130 that there will be in the system which sould be completed by fall 2008.
There was a temporary deployment for the Montebello summit last week where the SQ asked and used a fully encrypted digital APCO25 system to avoid beeing "scanned" by the protesters. They used a few RENIR w-t and mobile for their command but that's it and it has been dismantled since. Forget about Shawville (100 km west of Hull), there will not be nothing there until mid 2008.
