Provincial police have gone to RENIR a P25 system.
I can't get my Uniden BC246T to work obviously.
And there's very little on RadioReference to tell me where the Sûreté du Québec is Hiding :l

I was thinking about Uniden BCD325P2 but I don't want to spend the money if I'm wasting my time. The RCMP is on P25 phase 1. I've wanted to scan them. But are they encoded.

Advice?

The 166 MHz frequencies for SQ I thought they all switched over to RENIR. I will have to plug them in , next time I am in the Pontiac. I know MRC des colline Police are encrypted, I use to monitor them.

Yes they are on the NXDN system. All encrypted. But as I mentioned SQ in the Outaouais area are still on the conventional channels. For how long I don't know cause this RENIR system has been around awhile now and its been a slow move over to it.
