just got home from the Queen Mary and the Seaquarium of the Pacfic in Long Beach CA,
had my old radio shack scanner with 800mhz. not much use but, i set the radio to scan 800-900mhz
and low and behold found the anilog signals that are used when you rent the headphones to hear the explanitions in a musium.
i am sure you have seen people walking about with a reciver up to their ears.
the signals are FM. i could walk around and hear the points of intrest and not rent the headphone for $5.00 or more.
give it a try next time you go to a musium.

yes indeed i went to the radio room. it sits forward and on port side above the covered walkway.
you can see the beam and dipoles when you look up before you board.
it is not first radio room it was dismantled, but there is a nice display of old radio next to the shack.
BTW i found out not to call it a radio, it is a marconi wireless, to be correct.
ha ha
the freqs for the tour are between 864mhz to 890 mhz fm analog.
happy scanning
