I'm wondering if I can have two antennas hooked up to the same scanner or if it will cause it to malfunction somehow. I've got an all band now, but wondering if I get an 800mhz one as well to help reception in those areas that have 800mhz when I'm near them?!

Can you do it? Sure. Will it hurt any thing? No, it won't do harm to the radio. It can certainly not do very well if it isn't done correctly, as far as being 'better' than just that 'all band' antenna.

Are you looking for something like this?

RF Systems SP-3 Splitter and Combiner
That's actually a poor choice to combine antennas, even though it's advertised as such. It's either based on ignorance of the manufacturer, or they're hoping for ignorance on the part of the buyer.

In a splitter application, one antenna to two receivers, it would work just fine.
