I have a UHF satellite communication antenna from Trivec-Avant Corporation

The model is AV 2055-3

A picture with specs can be seen at www.trivec.com

left side menu "product type"

"antennas"

"Av2055-3"

Is this antenna any good for hooking up to my scanner to listen to local police ?

No - this is a highly directional antenna for 240-318MHz.

Local police are usually between 30-50, 151-160, or 450-512Mhz.

Bit it is a nice antenna for those that are Mil-air listeners.

No, regardless of what band your local agencies are on (which you don't tell us). The frequency range is 240-318MHz. There is nothing but military aircraft comms in that range. While it will pick up strong signals from most any band, if they are in extreme close proximity, it certainly isn't anything you would want to choose over the usual $30 dollar scanner antenna.

Thanks

I think, being in south los angeles county, most frequencies are 480.????

additional question

If I were to try and sell this antenna, do you know how/where I should go about it?
