I have been listening to Boston Fire for a while and every time a unit goes back in service from a call the unit in command says a series of three numbers. The most common I have heard is 321. Does any one know what this means? I have been trying to find an answer but I cant find one.

Thanks for pointing this out to me. I have never heard another dept use these, so I was a little confused.

It’s good info to know, so thanks to everyone for enlightening me on this. I asked the question because I’d never heard the codes used, I have heard command units giving a deposition on the call when they clear but I only notice BFD using the numeric codes.

That was one of the nice things about the old Scanner Master big book guides, as Bill @ecps92 will recall, they used to list these in them.
It was a nice "one stop shop" for everything you needed in seriously deep detail in Mass.

Other than Cleveland (OH). Fire using them, I’ve never heard any other dept in NE Ohio actually say the disposition incident code over the air.

Scanner Master and the Official Scanner Guides, Yup
Plenty of detailed stories, write-ups, Sectors Patrols, Call Signs, Maps in those excellent guides.
