I am trying to monitor a local TIII (Hyt) system with my two RTL-SDR dongle setup wih DSD+ (fastlane). One dongle is tuned to the control channel with FMP24 and the scope is alive with the signal. DSD CC I think is decoding the control channel as the system information is displayed and the Event Log is showing some activity (ACK and NAK entries).

But in the DSD+ TIII CHannel Activity Window, their is no real information present. I line of partial info ... under Ch is a '?' and under Target is 'CC'

Am I missing out on the proper operation of DSD+ (in terms of receiving voice with via my other dongle and DSD+ VC). Is not having control channel information in the Channel Activity Window problematic, or is this normal for a relatively inactive system?

I do have this in my DSD+ frequencies file:
Code:
; Fastnet Baden
TIII, 13, 1.5, 447, 422.7750, 0, 0
TIII, 13, 1.5, 447, 422.9000, 0, 0

422.7750 is the active control channel. I assumed this should be populating the Channel activity window?

To start with both frequencies can't be channel 447. Try changing the channel # for 422.900 to 467 and just for safety-sake the second last "0" in each line to "0.0"

Ok, make the other change for the input frequencies to be 0.0 and see if it helps. FastNet is a very quiet system. The CC activity window looks like you say until there's some sort of voice call activity. I'm looking at the Toronto site right now and it's a "?" too.

Thanks ATCTech. Done. No difference. Perhaps just need patience. I was just concerned that the channel number wasn't displayed in the Channel Activity Window considering it had identified the signal as the CC. Maybe once it sees some activity.

It will. I only see the Georgetown taxi service on that system once in a while and a little bus traffic from Durham on the mornings/afternoon weekdays.
