Hello i am member of fastlane group. So i am using DSDPlus 2.98. I looked over the DSD+ manual but i didnt find my answer. My goal is to use DSD+ and FMP24 for signal analysing like to find out this is voice channel for DMR, this is voice channel for P25 p1 so one.

My question is can i use FMP24.exe -o20001 (output trought TCP port 20001) and DSD+ listening port -i20001 and -o speaker (output directly to pc speakers)?

The second question is how can i use DSD+ as a scanner i looked the manual it explained as i understand FMP24 can be used as scanner. What i mean by that is it similar to Sdrsharp scanner plugin? How to set it up, can some one make an example or help.

Isn't that how you normally use DSDPlus/FMP24?

If your trying to listen to the digital sound, then with the DSD+ CC Event Log window focused, press 'm'. It cycles thru 5 modes. It shows on window what they are.

You need to create FMP24.Scanlist. Then use the 's' key in FMP24.
Do a search for "FMP24.ScanList" in the "Notes.txt" file that came with DSDPlus v2.98 for further information.

This is not even close to the SDR# scanner plug-in. It's also very slow at scanning. Not really DSD+ strong suit.

Hope this helps.

Thnx the second question is clear for me but the firs one i try to explain little bit more.

I want to listen the digital voice/speak/human voice not the signal sound. So can you confirm that the example confing can be used that way?

Not sure I understand what your trying to do so I'll take a guess.

If your trying to use DSDPlus/FMP24 as intended, which is trunking following, then you need:

FMP24 set up as CC
DSDPlus setup as CC
FMP24 set up as VC
DSDPlus setup as VC

CC (Control Channel) setup follows control activity
VC (Voice Channel) setup responds to CC and follows voice activity.

Information on how to do this is in the zip file for the public release version v1p101 as "Trunking.txt"

Available here: https://www.dsdplus.com/

You also need to read through "NOTES.txt" to see what changes have occurred to DSDPlus and it's components over time and apply them if need to the information found in "Trunking.txt".

Hope that's what you where looking for.

No i allready knew that i want to use FMP24 instead of VB cable or VAC to get better interception of weak signals as it uses TCP connection ... So i dont want to track trunked siglas i want to monitor or hear online the voice channels without trunking.

For conventional DMR / P25:
SDR Dongle > FMP24 > via TCP (local) > DSDPlus > Speakers

Should not be using VB Cable, VAC with DSDPlus/FMP24 combo at all, kind of defeats the purpose of it's functionality.

Even if you are using VB Cable/VAC, how exactly is this not working for you?
This is why it helps to include your current batch files for DSDPlus/FMP24 when you post a problem.

SDR is all about experimentation, just try it out.

You should be able to just use the CC-side batch files - FMP24-CC.bat and CC.bat

To scan some channels, you make the text file "DSDPlus.ScanList" with one line per channel. It should look something like this:

450.1 DMR Joe's Diner
155.725 NXDN48 Ted's Taxi
...

Press 'S' in FMP24 to start scanning. Press Esc once to stop scanning.

Thank you bouth, i managed to get TCP and scanning working. But there is one more problem with the FMP24 scanner, an example how i use it 145.17 DMR DELAY=1.5 N2GKG. My question is that if i put DELAY 15 seconds, it wont stay on the signal that long, FMP24 will be there only 2 seconds and then it will jump right to the next one.

The delay starts after the voice stops, incase there is another transmission. If no voice it will move on.

It will not wait if there is no voice.
