When programming EDACS frequencies you have to program them in order, so do I put the first frequency into channel 000 or 001 ? I have a Pro-97 and the first channel in the bank is 000.

01 - you'll never put an edacs frequency in a 000 or 100 or 200 ... 900.

If your LCNs are 5,7,9,13 , then you put it in 005, 007, 009, 013 for instance.

The same applies with LTR. Anything that is entered based upon LCNs will start from channel 1 (and may not even include channel 1). You put them in exactly the channel that the LCN is - if the LCN is 13, then you put the frequency in x13 (where x is going to be the bank where you are storing all of that sites freqs).

In EDACS and LTR systems, it's not mandatory that a system be set up to use any specific LCNs. So theoretically you could have a 5 channel EDACS or LTR system with LCNs of 11, 13, 20, 22, 24 and you would program them into your scanner in 011, 013, 020, 022, and 024.

Note for EDACS programming: EDACS frequencies have to start in the second channel of the bank (channels 001,101, 201, etc.), and have to be programmed in LCN (Logical Channel Number) order. See Finding EDACS LCN Order. You can still use 000, 100, etc. for a conventional frequency. This is from a manual that may be easier to read: http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscanners/97/97.html#programming_trunking_systems
