Your friend "thinks" all of SaFET is digital, but it it actually both digital and analog, and FPD has been analog and not digital.

Not true. When the original SAFE-T cutover happened in Johnson County, all law enforcement started out on digital voice talkgroups, and all fire departments started out on analog voice talkgroups. It is the fire departments that are just starting to cut over to digital voice talkgroups. In Johnson County, all law enforcement (including Franklin PD) have been digital voice since the beginning.

I think I know the thread you are talking about.

It is the fire departments that are now switching over to digital.

They have been analog on the Safe-T system.

As DigitalD stated all law enforcement in Johnson Co. went digital from the start.
