Apologies if this belongs in the antenna/coax forum
if so please move.

Got my HamItUp HF Board today,

Im planning on building an SDR box
and I need to make Jumpers to connect
them.

Im thinking of removing the SMA's and soldering
direct to the PCB.Not a big deal.

Ive got 75ohm mil-spec teflon RG179
and also a generic brand 50ohm RG174

Which is going to be better suited to connect
the devices?

and also,a cohort recomended looping the cable
through on of these(see pic) to reduce noise..
coax is the 75ohm/179

any merit?
