question about Radio Shack Pro-70 hyperscan

... just got a used one today from Ebay. Shouldn't the screen display the frequency when i power it up>? because its not displaying anything. I click the WX and get clear weather channel broadcast, so i know the dern thing works, but the screen???

anyone>?

and if i need to get it replaced, any ideas (i live in Ca)

Did you buy it "as is" because it would seem you got a bad one. Maybe you used PayPal, I hope?
Repairs would go through RS. You'd be lucky if they still had a display available at this point. Suggest you get part numbers here: RadioShack PRO-70 50 Channel Portable Scanner (200-0310) then try calling a repair center to see if parts can be gotten.
