Question about radio shack pro 90 scanner.....

will it recieve jeffersontown police new digital 800mhz channels?and if so which?...dispatch and trunking?........here is some info that i know about the channels?

No it won't work. See the 'D' and 'E; next to the 3 digit numbers? Those mean 'digital' and 'encrypted' respectively. The PRO-90 is a first gen trunktracker, functionally similar to the old Uniden BC235.

Nothing will handle the encrypted stuff, but you need a digital trunktracker to handle the digital talkgroups.

By the way, if you don't know what something means in one of those columns in the database, point to the header and you should see a balloon with a basic explanation.

My Pro-90 is sitting over there collecting dust. I might retrieve it when I am wanting to monitor known analog frequencies or listen to Skywarn. That is about it.

Only thing you may pickup in J-Town with that scanner is the Public Works and when we have our Explorers working details on our old simplex channel.
