I am just curious if the antenna should be higher. I have it at least 13ft off the ground and I am just curious if this antenna would do better at the top of my house or what.

The general idea is this. The higher the antenna the better. Depending on your circumstances maybe you can look into getting a chimney mount for your antenna or even a tripod mount.

thanks

Yeah I agree, lol its winter so it will be a while before I can get it any higher off the ground. Cant get on the roof just yet. I am in Iowa so its been ruff. But yeah, I seem to be getting a lot of broadcasts south and west of my position my house faces North East and the antenna is in the back, clearly I guess that stuff from the north is being blocked because of the house. Does that sound about right? I am probally gonna mount it at the highest point of the house and I can see the horizon pretty good from up there it should def increase the range.

ok

My house faces north east and the antenna is in the back but is not as high as the house. I am getting transmissions from the south and west part of my surrounding area. Really well actually. When I mount the antenna on the roof in the spring it will be extremely clear all the way around?. (meaning no houses or trees.) This sounds about right. Right? I guess that I am just curious if because its low at the moment I can recieve anything from any other direction. Except south and west.
