Question About SDPD K9 Call Signs

So, I'm doing research for my next story and I did a search for what the SDPD K9 call signs might be and came across some information in a thread from last year:

"3 digit units are patrol in the field divisions (such as Northern and Northwestern).
Unit number is a beat within the area. Suffix letter is type of unit and shift.

4 digit units are citywide (29xx Nora units are K-9s, for example)."

Can anyone tell me...do all K9 units start with the numbers 29?

Thank you. I'm used to K9 units being called "King" so by the time my brain processes that I heard a Nora unit on the San Diego live feed here and that it's a K9, I've missed the preceding numbers. hahaha.
