BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Question about setup and options on 436

I see where you can have the radio lock in on a certain department, site, or group. The question for me, on a multi-site smartzone system from Motorola, can I sit on a particular department to monitor a call but it still search out which tower the traffic is on, or do I have to just scan that system listening for the one incident to be conducted?

If you lock department or TG it will still continue to search all sites in the system for activity from that department or TG.
