Although I haven't yet got it to work here (bad reception area). I can tell you this:
T4WIN is a decoding program. It takes the information streamed out by the actual trunking system's data channel and displays it on a computer. It will show you what is happening on the system in regard to what radios are talking on what talkgroups etc.....
It has an output function that is meant to actually control another receiver so that it can follow the conversations through the system.
It's basically like building a trunk tracking scanner by using one radio to receive the data channel the computer to decode it and control a second receiver to listen to the actual traffic. You don't need the second receiver if you are only interested in "seeing" what's happening on the system or logging activity.
It requires a radio tuned to the data channel with the audio feeding into the computer sound card. You won't hear anything at all you will just see the system operate, unless you have the second receiver connected.
