BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Question about the 436

So there was a long video recently from a guy here showing his 436. On the bottom it had "TAGS"


What exactly is this and how do they work?

A "tag" is kind of a convoluted scanner bank/channel number so a user can go directly to a specific frequency for a non trunked system or talk group on a trunked system for monitoring purposes. Kind of supporting the "old school" scanner memory idea.

A user programmable field/A short cut to something you want to specifically monitor.
