Question about the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall

So I have been trying to get the pl or dpl tones for the following but I am unable to.is it that that they dont have assigned ones

Do you mean your scanner won't display the tones or you want someone to tell you what they are? PL tones are assigned by the user so you have to ask them.

Get a scanner that’s detects tones or get an sdr dongle and uses sdr# with pl and dcs plugins. Pretty simple.

Maybe they are CSQ. If they are just operating inside the Mall they may not need PL if no nearby co-channel users.

I believe the last time I spoke to the mall corporate they said there is no tones for their radios

Isnt displaying them correctly, or isnt displaying them at all? What scanner are you using?

I believe both of them are CSQ, and you generally won't receive them from a far distance as they don't seem to have a repeater.

They're probably not using any tone then. Those kinda UHF radios won't make it past the parking lot of a big mall. Why bother putting a tone on it? If you can hear them without putting a tone or it being displayed on the scanner, you're fine.

IIRC they are 20 watt repeaters, and the antennas aren't super high, maybe on a 10 foot mast on the roof of the mall.
